The Octagon Centre proudly supports several charities in many different ways. We recently had a visit from Lord Mayor of East Staffordshire, Cllr Colin Wileman who came to our centre to see off hundreds of Christmas presents destined for needy children in Romania through the Teams 4 U Shoebox appeal. All boxes have been put together by Teams 4 U volunteers using donations made by the people of Burton and the surrounding area.

Richard Chamberlain, Centre Manager said, "We were very pleased to host The Lord Major of East Staffordshire as he waved off the hundreds of presents at the start of their journey to Romania. We are also proud to be supporting Teams 4 U with their 2020 Shoebox Appeal.  The work of all their volunteers makes a huge difference to needy children in other countries.  It is a pleasure for The Octagon to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause."
