Store Goes Silent For Autism Hour at The Octagon Shopping Centre.

Quiet hour returns to The Octagon Shopping Centre to provide a more autism-friendly shopping experience for those on the spectrum. The return of the popular initiative started on the 6th October and will run until the 13th October, between 9am – 10am in which stores will be aiming to create a calmer less daunting environment for shoppers with Autism during the first hour of opening.

Cushman & Wakefield Centre Manager, Peter Hardingham commented, "This is a fantastic introduction by Cushman & Wakefield taking place across various shopping centre's, that not only helps raise awareness of autism but also helps to reduce the potential stress for shoppers with this condition. Where possible we will be turning off music, dimming lights and any other distractions until 10:00am.".
